iKAN Plug-In for Adobe Acrobat

iKAN’s Plug-In for Adobe Acrobat provides users with an extremely cost effective way to easily integrate remote or desktop scanning users into a company’s existing document repository or to the iKAN Virtual Document Center using the Fujitsu ScanSnap S500 document scanner.

The Fujitsu S500 is a desktop based, business class scanner that operates with the push of a button. Once a document is scanned as a PDF file, the iKAN Plug-In for Acrobat allows users to index the document, eliminating the need to create a new document name and browsing for folders to store the document. By directly indexing the document, it can then be placed in most commercial document repositories, allowing for rapid retrieval via a search interface.

iKAN Check21

iKAN Check21 is a solution for retail and service establishments that receive checks as payment and want to improve their handling process. With the enactment of Check21 legislation is late 2004, paper checks can be replaced with an electronic image (known as an IRD or Image Replacement Document) that can be used to clear against the Federal Reserve electronically.

The business benefit is that now checks can be scanned on premise and transmitted electronically to the bank, instead of filling out a deposit slip and going to the bank. The check clearing process is faster meaning cash is recognized sooner.

The iKAN Check21 solution is based on our existing document scanning platform. By integrating the Federal Reserve specifications, we’ve created a check capture solution that can read the encoded MICR information and process the handwritten courtesy amount (CAR) and the handwritten legal amount (LAR). It’s also been integrated with software from Glory USA, a leader in cash settlement software, providing a total end to end solution for your check processing and cash settlement needs.

iKAN ScanNow!

iKAN ScanNow! is a powerful, stand-alone image capture solution that is both lightweight and easy to use, and can be quickly deployed onto any computer. iKAN Scan requires no proprietary software, hardware, or specialized support. It works with any TWAIN enabled scanner or digital copier and supports standard TIF viewers and PDF file formats. There is no complicated user interface to master.

Once your information has been scanned, you’ll find it easy to release digital records into any existing back-end storage system such as an accounting system, database application, or a custom-developed application. Software developers can quickly add a document capture component to almost any Windows based applications.
