We used to have our remote locations mail and overnight their invoices to us, which took 4 to 5 days to enter into our document management system for payment. Today we scan the invoices at the branch using Fujitsu workgroup scanners and iKAN Software to transmit them directly into our A/P system. We’ve eliminated the associated mailing costs, and simultaneously gained flexibility in structuring our A/P payment flow. It’s been one of the most successful projects we’ve ever implemented.

Within the first three months of using the iKAN Virtual Document Center, we have scanned an estimated 32,000 documents into the system. The search capabilities have already been proven on several occasions. Locating documents now takes minutes compared to hours digging through file boxes, not to mention, the extra resources required to physically move the boxes until the correct one is located. Overall we have found the iKAN Virtual Document Center to be a simple, cost effective way to provide a document management system for ourselves and our clientele worldwide.

Prior to discovering the iKAN Virtual Document Center, my office manager and I believed that electronic storage of documents was both expensive and time consuming.
